Family Camp Weekends at Baltimore Yearly Meeting Camp Properties offer us all a chance enjoy our beautiful camp properties during the greening up time of year. Individuals and families are invited to come and enjoy the camps for a day or for the weekend. This spring, we will have a program coordinator at each weekend who will plan camp-familiar activities for Saturday and Sunday mornings, as well as Saturday afternoon and evening. These may include things such as playing in the creek, a crafts project or hiking around one of the most precious places on earth. There will also be plenty of work projects to do! Work projects offer people with all kinds of skills the opportunity to enjoy some meaningful and satisfying work! We will enjoy meals together, have time to explore and even spend time around a camp fire in the evening. We invite you to join us for a BYM Quaker Camp experience, give the gift of your time, participate with children in activities and find yourself rejuvenated.

Please join us Saturday, June 3rd at 7:00 PM at Frederick Friends Meeting for an evening of music to raise funds for the new GREEN bathhouse at Catoctin Quaker Camp. For more on the bathhouse project, please see www.bym-rsf.org/giving/catoctin-bath-house-project.html. We will likely hear lots of great songs and quite a few of those will be by Bob Dylan. Richard is a highly accomplished folk singer, fabulous guitarist, and a wonderful Friend. If you have never heard Richard play, this is a terrific opportunity. We are aiming to raise $10,000 during this evening, so please bring your checks and credit cards. Frederick Meeting House seats about 70 or 80 and is easily accessible from Rts 70 and 270 for those who want to come out from Baltimore or the DC area (about a 1h drive). We will enjoy great music, nibble on some snacks, and raise money for a worthwhile cause. Get to know Yearly Meeting Committees and Friends from other Meetings! Be a part of important decision making. Join Friends for morning committee meetings and the afternoon’s Interim Business Meeting. Gunpowder Friends Meeting will host the Sixth Month Interim Meeting. Friends will begin gathering at 10:00am.
